Prior to Vow, Kelsey worked as a management consultant for four years before following her passion to the retail industry. In retail, Kelsey has worked at RentTheRunway, Bloomingdale's, Michael Kors, and BCBGMaxAzria. Kelsey has an MBA from UCLA Anderson and a BA from Columbia University and has been named as one of the “Top 50 People to Watch” in Southern California’s technology industry. |
Omar Al-Agely
Investor , Mark Cuban Companies Omar Al-Agely is based in Los Angeles for Mark Cuban Companies. While Omar is responsible for early stage deal flow, his main focus is helping Mark evaluate current trends and investment opportunities.
In addition to investing, Omar spends the rest of his time acting as an extension of Mark by supporting teams in the portfolio on day to day operations and strategy. Before joining Mark Cuban Companies, Omar lived in San Francisco and worked for Expensify and Twitter after graduating from the University of Florida, where he first realized his passion for tech after launching his first startup in the ed-tech space. Other than that, Omar really likes burritos. |
Howard Marks
Co-Founder & Executive Chairman, StartEngine Howard Marks is the co-founder and Executive Chairman of StartEngine, a leading equity crowdfunding platform, and also the Managing Partner of StartEngine LLC, the largest startup accelerator in Los Angeles. Marks founded StartEngine with the mission to help make Los Angeles a top tech entrepreneurial city. Marks was the founder and CEO of Acclaim Games, a publisher of online games now part of The Walt Disney Company. Before Acclaim, Marks was the co-founder of Activision and Chairman of Activision Studios from 1991 until 1997. As co-founder, former Board Member, and Executive Vice-President of video game giant Activision, he and a partner took control in 1991 and turned the ailing company into the $20B market cap video game industry leader. As a games industry expert, Marks built one of the largest and most successful games studios in the industry selling millions of games.
Marks is the 2015 "Treasure of Los Angeles" recipient awarded for his work to transform Los Angeles into a leading technology city. Marks is a member of Mayor Eric Garcetti's technology council. Marks has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan. He is bilingual and is a triple national of the U.S., United Kingdom, and France. |
Monica Dodi
Founder & Managing Director, Women's Venture Capital Fund Co-Founder and Managing Director of The Women’s Venture Capital Fund, Monica is a well respected new media pioneer, successful serial entrepreneur and frequent speaker for the US State Department.
Upon graduating from Georgetown, she founded a new technology company focused on engineering databases which was subsequently sold to Thyssen Bornemisza. Inspired by the fast pace of entrepreneurship and innovation, Monica went to earn her MBA at Harvard Business School. Dodi joined MTV Europe in London as one of three founders, formulated the business plan, negotiated major satellite, cable and advertising sales agreements, built the regional offices across 16 countries, while creating innovative marketing campaigns, making MTV the fastest growing TV channel in Europe. Moving to France as Disney SVP of Consumer Products, Monica negotiated major multinational licensing deals, creating new revenue streams for classic and newly released brands. She then launched CD Productions with a Disney license which was acquired by American Greetings. Returning to the US to launch Warner Bros television channels, she was subsequently recruited by media mogul Brandon Tartikoff as CEO to launch AOL’s content brands and where Entertainment Asylum became the fastest growing online media brand, hitting profitability in a year with over 4 million daily visitors. Monica worked with Softbank VC as Entrepreneur-in-Residence in their investment strategies, deal flow and due diligence in the convergence of new media. Softbank also invested in her company, oediv.com, an early precursor to YouTube. Seeing a market inefficiency in venture capital investments where women led teams receive less than 5% of VC capital, Monica co-founded the Women's VC Fund to focus on early stage start-ups in digital media with a gender diverse teams. Monica is Board Director for Decorist.com, Board Director for Los Angeles River Revitalization Corporation, and a proud Mom. |
